dreams come true
Well, not really. Right now, my iPhone keeps saying that I have no service. That’s deeply annoying.
Tonight was the Rent closing performance on Broadway. Very meaningful as Bernie Telsey’s first Broadway show was Rent. Also, my first show was La Boheme, which most people know, was the show that Rent is based on. Also, the same producers did Rent and La Boheme, so it is like a sister show and I love all those people. So, emotional night.
I decided to wear my short, lime green/grey/yellow dress. I love this dress and I haven’t worn it all season, and it is really my last chance. It’s so weird because I lost weight and normally, my boobs are like pouring out of this dress…and tonight it sort of looked perfect with no pouring. Felt pretty good, but ultimately didn’t care because the man I’m interested in impressing was not going to be there.
The show was pretty amazing and it was a blast to see it. I haven’t gone in a while and really, it is a pleasure. I tend to go when it is a big event…big anniversary, or whatnot and the cast is always on fire. The show is great…amazing that it was frozen on the first preview off-Broadway, because Jonathan died that night and no one felt they should change anything. And they shouldn’t. Shows may not be perfect, but Rent is all heart, and it speaks to every artist and lover.
Okay, I’m blessed to have attended this great night in the theater and also, to drink free champagne all night as well.
I love all of you!
